Senator Patrick Diegnan

Senator Patrick J. Diegnan Jr. is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Senate, representing District 18, which covers municipalities such as East Brunswick, Edison, and Highland Park.

Senator Diegnan was born and raised in South Plainfield. While serving as Deputy Speaker and Parliamentarian in the Assembly, he was appointed to the Senate in 2016 after Peter J. Barnes III was appointed to New Jersey Superior Court.
Senator Diegan is the chair of the Transportation Committee and sits on the New Jersey Transit Select Committee. He has sponsored legislation urging the governor to join the U.S. Climate Alliance, led the fight to require stricter regulations for childhood lead poison testing, and supported funding for electric-powered buses for NJ Transit and our local school districts.

We are proud to endorse Patrick Diegnan in the 18th District, and we urge you to vote for him.
