Britnee Timberlake

In January 2018, Britnee N. Timberlake was appointed to serve as the Assemblywoman for 34th District representing Clifton, East Orange, Orange, and Montclair.

Assemblywoman Timberlake became the youngest Freeholder elected in the State in 2015, and she served as a District Three Essex County Freeholder through 2017 and became the only African-American female President of a Freeholder Board. While a Freeholder, Timberlake spearheaded the Essex County Clean Jobs Initiative, an initiative to create both job training and placement for Essex County’s unemployed and underemployed residents in the highly specialized and lucrative trade of environmental lead, asbestos, and contamination remediation.

Assemblywoman Timberlake has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, a minor in Religious Studies, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Seton Hall University. She sits on the following Assembly committees: Education, Science, Innovation and Technology, and the Joint Committee on Economic Justice and Equal Employment Opportunity.

We are proud to endorse Assemblywoman Timberlake in the 34th District, and we urge you to vote for her on November 6th.
