District 11:
Eric Houghtaling

Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Assembly, representing District 11, which covers municipalities such as Colts Neck, Red Bank, and Tinton Falls. 

Assemblyman Houghtaling is a lifelong resident and former Mayor of Neptune Township. He is a career electrician and a proud, 40-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 400. He has also served as a representative to the Monmouth and Ocean Counties Central Labor Council. Through his work with labor, Eric has gained a keen understanding of the issues facing working families, including the need for us to create good-paying jobs, make education more effective, and keep our communities safe.

Assemblyman Houghtaling has been a part of an environmentally friendly agenda, as seen in his support of pollinator bills and legislation protecting open space in New Jersey. He serves on the Tourism, Gaming and the Arts Committee and the Labor Committee, and he is the Chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and Vice-Chair of the Oversight, Reform and Federal Relations Committee.
