Shirley Turner

Senator Shirley K. Turner is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Senate, representing District 15, which covers municipalities such as Ewing and Trenton. 

Senator Turner is serving her seventh term in the Senate and has supported legislation to increase accessibility and affordability of higher education opportunities and has introduced legislation to end racial profiling. She has worked with local organizations to fight against the PennEast Pipeline, a natural gas pipeline that threatens our water supply and natural resources. Senator Turner has sponsored and supported numerous bills that protect the environment, open space, and the health of residents, reduce climate change, support renewable energies, and prioritize environmental justice. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Education Committee and sits on the Joint Committee on Economic Justice and Equal Employment.
