Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake
Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Assembly, representing District 34, which covers municipalities such as Montclair, Orange, and Union City.
Assemblywoman Timberlake served as an AmeriCorps Member in Union County, was the housing chair of her local NAACP, and is a graduate of EmergeNJ. She is a representative on the Education, Science, Innovation and Technology, and the Joint Committee on Economic Justice and Equal Employment Opportunity.
In the legislature, Assemblywoman Timberlake has worked to improve the environment and sustain our natural resources. She has successfully led the charge for legislation that prohibits the sale or distribution of products containing asbestos, provides clean drinking water to municipalities in our state, provides tax incentives to families that safely abate lead paint, pipes and other aspects of their homes, supports tax incentives for electric cars, and much more. She also sponsored legislation urging the United States Congress to enact a revenue-neutral carbon tax and has also worked to initiate improvements in Watsessing and Orange Parks. She believes that sustainability is key to creating a better future for generations to come.
