Assemblyman Robert Clifton
Robert Clifton has served on the Assembly since 2012 and currently represents Legislative District 12, covering municipalities in Burlington, Monmouth, and Ocean County.
Assemblyman Clifton served as the Mayor of Matawan from 1996 to 2005, and he served his community as a Freeholder on the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 2005-2011. Assemblyman Clifton currently works as the Director of Government Affairs at Comcast Cable Corp.
During his time as an Assemblyman, Robert Clifton has demonstrated his support for environmental issues including the development of renewable energy, the preservation of open space, as well as the implementation of government regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. He currently sits on the Budget Committee, the Housing and Community Development Committee, and the Transportations and Independent Authorities Committee.
