Chris A. Brown

Assemblyman Chris Brown (R) has represented the 2nd Legislative District since 2012, and is running for Senate. Prior to being elected to the Assembly, he served as a Major in the U.S. Army. Born in Atlantic City, Assemblyman Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law. 

Assemblyman Brown led the efforts to properly implement the dedication of corporate business tax for open space. He supported several other pro-environmental bills, including ensuring the protection of the Highlands water source by opposing lower septic density and interstate pipelines. Assemblyman Brown received an 86% on New Jersey LCV’s 2017 Environmental Scorecard.
