John F. McKeon

Assemblyman John F. McKeon (D) is running for re-election to represent New Jersey’s 27th legislative district. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Muhlenberg College in history, and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Previous to his service as an Assembly member, he served on the Council of the Township of West Orange, and then as mayor. He earns his living as an attorney and partner at Hardin, Kundla, McKeon, and Poletto Law Firm.

Assemblyman McKeon serves as Chair on the Judiciary committee, Co-Chair on the Joint Legislative Task Force on Drinking Water Infrastructure, and Vice-Chair on the Environmental and Solid Waste committee. He has sponsored many important environmental bills, including ones to protect the Highlands water resources, maintain the standard for the Flood Hazard Rules, and urge Governor Christie to join the U.S. Climate Alliance.
