Clinton Calabrese

Since his appointment to the Assembly in February 2018, Assemblyman Calabrese has represented the state's 36th legislative district, which includes parts of Bergen and Passaic counties.

Prior to joining the Assembly, Calabrese served on the Cliffside Park school board from 2009 to 2010 and sat on the Cliffside Park Zoning Board of Adjustment from 2016-2017.

As a member of the Assembly, his voting record demonstrates his commitment to protecting the environment. Assemblyman Calabrese has become a leader on a wide range of issues, including increasing renewable energy sources, restricting the use of harmful insecticides, prohibiting fracking waste treatment in the state, protecting open space, encouraging the expansion of the electric vehicle market, protecting public health through prohibiting smoking at public beaches and parks, and encouraging smart growth development practices.

He received a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Management from St. John's University and a Master's of Science in Real Estate from New York University. Assemblyman Calabrese sits on the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee; the Commerce and Economic Development Committee; and the Higher Education Committee.
