Karen Cohen

Karen Cohen is running for Township Council in Mt. Laurel, located in Burlington County.  

Karen is an active participant in the Mount Laurel Green Team since 2010 and has been a part of the Sustainable Jersey certification process. She has participated in Mount Laurel’s Cleanup Day since 1996 and is a certified Rutgers Environmental Steward. With stormwater management in mind, Karen completed her service project for Rutgers Environmental Stewards with an in-service in Camden where she worked with Camden SMART (Stormwater Management and Resource Training) to rehabilitate and restore some of the 60 rain gardens throughout the city which help mitigate flooding. With the experience and knowledge gained from this project, she plans to address similar issues in Mount Laurel before they become unmanageable.
