LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP CELEBRATES PFA ACTION

TRENTON – The following is a statement from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) adoption of strict standards to limit PFA chemicals in drinking water.

“Clean drinking water is a human right. One in five New Jerseyans drink water contaminated with PFAS/PFOA chemicals. It’s good to know that New Jerseyans will now be protected with some of the strongest standards in the country,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “We applaud the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) for establishing new rules to protect our drinking water from these ‘forever chemicals,’ which are persistent, bio-accumulative, toxic, and linked to a myriad of health issues.”
