LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP LAUDS AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION REPORT

TRENTON – The following is a statement from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on the American Lung Association report that states Electric Vehicles can help with air pollution.

“New Jersey continues to have some of the most polluted air in the nation. Cars, trucks, and buses are making people in New Jersey sick, and transitioning to electric vehicles is the best thing we can now to reduce emissions and reduce localized air pollution,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey LCV. “As if the horrific California wildfires weren’t enough, the new “The Road to Clean Air” report from the American Lung Association is a stark reminder of the wrong track the Trump Administration is on with its irresponsible deregulatory efforts. We are thankful Governor Murphy signed the boldest electric vehicle bill in the nation to ensure New Jersey rapidly transitions to electric cars and public buses.”
