LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP WELCOMES BUSINESS COALITION SUPPORTING CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE

TRENTON, NJ- Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, released the following statement today regarding establishment of the New Jersey Campaign for a Clean Energy Future (CCEF), a statewide coalition of community organizations and leaders committed to advancing New Jersey’s clean energy future.

“We welcome business leaders coming together to fight for our 100% clean energy future and support the bold Energy Master Plan (EMP), which outlines this framework in a pragmatic, responsible, and affordable way to create good local jobs in the clean energy economy,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “We look forward to working with the newly established Campaign for a Clean Energy Future (CCEF) to help grow New Jersey’s clean energy economy, ensure reliability and affordability for all customers. Most importantly, we look forward to working with these important voices to push back on the increasing pressures from fossil fuel companies like PennEast and WilliamsTransco, who continue to put their profits over people’s health by building unneeded and dangerous projects in our state. The expansion of oil and natural gas infrastructure today burdens our families with dirty air for generations.”
