New Jersey LCV Applauds Advancement of Nomination for Ed Potosnak to Lead New Jersey DEP
The New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee met today to consider the nomination of Ed Potosnak, to serve as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. After a brief confirmation hearing, the committee voted to advance the nomination to the full Senate. Ed Potosnak was the longtime Executive Director of New Jersey LCV and Allison McLeod, Interim Executive Director, made the following statement.
“Congratulations to Ed on the advancement of his nomination to the full Senate for Commissioner of the New Jersey DEP. Ed has spent over a decade proving that we don't have to choose between a healthy planet and a thriving economy. He understands that by investing in clean energy and green infrastructure, we can protect our natural resources while lowering costs for working families. We look forward to working with the DEP to continue to advance clean affordable energy,
safe drinking water, open spaces for recreation, and healthy communities across our state.”
