NEW JERSEY LCV APPLAUDS GOVERNOR MURPHY FOR SIGNING NEW VOTING LAW EXPANDING ACCESS TO THE BALLOT

TRENTON – The following statement is from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, commending Governor Murphy on the signing of a new law today that will expand early in-person voting for New Jersey residents.

“Voting is a right, not a privilege, and it is the most essential component of a thriving democracy. Our members are conservation voters supporting pro-conservation leaders of both parties who are environmental champions and enact policies to protect our environment. That’s why New Jersey LCV is celebrating this new law that will make it easier for New Jerseyans to vote,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey LCV. “Unlike some states that are going back to Jim Crow-era policies that block voter access, I am proud to see Governor Murphy and legislative leaders stand up to ensure free and fair elections for all New Jerseyans.”
