New Jersey LCV lauds nomination of Matt Platkin as N.J. A.G.

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Executive Director, Ed Potosnak, issued the following statement in response to Governor Murphy’s decision to nominate Matt Platkin to serve as New Jersey’s Attorney General:

We are pleased that Governor Murphy has nominated Matt Platkin to serve as New Jersey Attorney General. Platkin is a proven environmental champion and, while serving as the Governor’s chief counsel, was a key ally in advancing the cause of environmental protection and clean energy. Polluters should watch out with Attorney General Platkin on the beat.

We would also like to thank Acting Attorney General Andrew Bruck who has served the people of New Jersey with distinction and who made enforcement of our state’s environmental laws a priority.

We call on the Senate to quickly move through the confirmation process because he would continue this administration’s track record of strong attorneys general who aggressively enforce our environmental laws.
