New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Statement
on Most Recent Natural Resource Damage Lawsuits

NEWARK, NJ – Ed Potosnak, Executive Director of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, released the following statement on the announcement that the Office of the Attorney General has filed two Natural Resource Damage lawsuits on the Sherwin-Williams Superfund Site in Gibbsboro and Voorhees and the Handy & Harman site in Montvale:

"We are grateful to the Murphy Administration and for the leadership Attorney General Grewal and DEP Commissioner McCabe continue to display in holding polluters accountable in our state. The twelve NRD lawsuits, including the two today, over the past two years send a clear message that this administration is strongly committed to cleaning up New Jersey and protecting the health and wellbeing of our families and communities. We encourage them to continue with this important work and look forward to helping them make New Jersey a cleaner place for all its citizens."
