District 27:
John McKeon

Assemblyman John McKeon is running for reelection to the New Jersey State Assembly in District 27, which covers municipalities such as Livingston, West Orange, and Maplewood. 

Assemblyman McKeon has served on the Council of the Township of West Orange, and then as mayor. He earns his living as an attorney and partner at Hardin, Kundla, McKeon, and Poletto Law Firm.

In the legislature, Assemblyman McKeon serves as Chair of the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and sits on the Assembly Budget Committee and the Assembly Environmental and Solid Waste Committee. He has sponsored many important environmental bills, including ones to protect the Highlands water resources, to maintain the standard for the Flood Hazard Rules, and to urge Governor Christie to join the U.S. Climate Alliance.
